information and support

Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. Every year, on March 26th, people in countries around the world are invited to wear purple and host events in support of epilepsy awareness. Last year, people in dozens of countries, on all continents (including Antarctica) participated in Purple Day!

PURPLE DAY

WHAT WE BELIEVE

EPILEPSY YUKON IS A GRASS-ROOTS GROUP of people passionate about improving the lives of people with epilepsy in the yukon, and the people who support them.

People in the Yukon with epilepsy have the following needs:

  • We want to talk to others and learn from their experiences;

  • We want the opportunity to engage in our community and promote epilepsy awareness in the Yukon;

  • We want to have information on what services are available to us in the Yukon; and

  • We want up-to-date data on treatments, diagnostics and other issues relevant to persons with epilepsy.

Epilepsy Yukon exists to promote independence and optimal quality of life for those living with seizure disorders by providing information, awareness, support services, advocacy, education and research.
